It is a distinct honor to be a part of 2019 Taste Washington, serving on Sean Sullivan’s panel.

Taste Washington Seminar Led by Sean Sullivan of Wine Enthusiast Magazine

March 6, 2019

Friends, I have the distinct honor to serve on Sean Sullivan’s panel at Taste Washington. This exciting two hour panel, named ‘White Lightning: The Electric 2017 Vintage for Washington Whites’ will be held Sunday March 31st from 10:30-12 at the Four Seasons Hotel. My co-panelists will be distinguished white wine experts who help craft some of Washington State’s best white wines, including:

James Mantone of Syncline Winery

David Rosenthal of Chateau Ste. Michelle

Chris Upchurch of Upchurch Vineyard and DeLille Cellars

2017 has been heralded as a great vintage for white wine with its moderate temperatures and long growing season. I have been impressed with what I have tasted through thusfar from that vintage. It is a great thrill for me to discuss some of the exciting white wines made in 2017, including the following:

Chateau Ste Michelle & Dr. Loosen, Eroica Riesling, Columbia Valley, 2017

DeLille Cellars, Chaleur Blanc, Columbia Valley, 2017

Lobo Hills, Sauvignon Blanc, Yakima Valley 2017

Long Shadows, Poet’s Leap Riesling, Columbia Valley, 2017

Rôtie Cellars, Southern White, Walla Walla Valley, 2017

Sightglass Cellars, Chardonnay, Conner Lee Vineyard, Columbia Valley, 2017

Syncline, Picpoul, Boushey Vineyard, Yakima Valley, 2017

WT Vintners, Grüner Veltliner, Underwood Mountain Vineyard, Columbia Gorge, 2017

I would love you all to attend this very special event, and tickets can be purchased here . It will be a really fantastic 2019 Taste Washington weekend and I am very honored to be a part of it.
