A Table is an electric collaboration between vigneron Christophe Baron and Full Pull Wines founder Paul Zitarelli.
Today we share a brand new collaboration between Christophe Baron of Bionic Wines and Paul Zitarelli of Full Pull Wines. These two have had a longtime connection as Full Pull had the privilege of being the sole retailer of La Rata wines, offering every vintage from 2012-2022.
Paul described his connection with Christophe and his team: “I’m delighted to have another opportunity to collaborate with the team at Bionic Wines. I’ve been lucky enough to share several long lunches with Christophe [Baron] and Trevor [Dorland] and the crew over the years, and this new collaboration honors those wonderful meals.” He continued “I know these bottles are going to end up on the lunch and dinner tables of our incredible Full Pull list members, and they’re in for a serious treat. We all know the care and attention the Bionic Wines team gives to Grenache; we’ve seen it in God Only Knows over many years, and more recently with Grenache from No Girls and Horsepower. To have our inaugural bottling for À Table be a Grenache from Cailloux, such a historically important vineyard in the Pacific Northwest, is an absolute thrill.”
I obviously have long admired the Grenache wines of Baron and his team as these wines have consistently landed near or on top of my Top 100 year in and year out. The new A Table Grenache is nothing short of a thrill to consume. It is incredibly lively and tension-filled stuff that has amazing stony essence. The 2024 At Table Grenache (OB, 99) flirts with perfection and is marvelously stony with incredible flavor range. Keep posted to Full Pull for when this wine will be released in the future. Here is my review of the inaugural 2024 A Table Grenache.
2024 A Table ‘Armada Vineyard’ Grenache- A new wine crafted in collaboration with Full Pull Wines, the 2024 ‘A Table’ Grenache comes entirely from the famed Cailloux Vineyard. This shows off dark in the glass, offering sinfully good aromatics of Hoisin sauce, blood orange zest, bulls blood, iodine, red currants and suggestions of Parma ham. The aromatic range is second to none. The palate is very dense and nervy, with a seamless texture and marvelous sense of weight. A glorious wine that flirts with perfection, tasted against the other Horsepower Grenache wines this comes close to their level. It is a stunning rendition of the varietal that flirts with perfection — and priced at only 80 bucks SRP which makes it a complete steal! Drink 2026-2034- 99
