One of the great Dundee Hills estates, I fondly remember visiting this winery many years back in the pouring rain. The late Jesus Guillen was one of my first winemaker interviews for Washington Wine Blog and had a smile that would light up a room as his wines would brighten all the faces that would come by their cozy Dundee Hills tasting room. Taking over for Jesus at White Rose, Tresider Burns comes from Brittan Vineyard pedigree, having trained under eminent winemaker Robert Brittan. Tresider is an awesome guy to chat wines with and his new wines were sensational across the board.
The new release wines from the warm 2018 vintage by White Rose are gorgeous across the board. The 2018 White Rose ‘Neo-Classical Objective’ Pinot Noir (WWB, 93) has an incredible texture and depth with earthy tones. Even better is the 2018 White Rose ‘White Rose Vineyard’ Pinot Noir (WWB, 94) which is dense and exceedingly good range.
