A relatively new winery in Paso Robles, Fulldraw began back in 2012 by Connor and Rebecca McMahon. They reside on their 100 acre vineyard which is located in the Templeton Gap, southwest Paso Robles. Connor formerly worked at Booker before starting this project. Connor and Rebecca reside with their two children and their German Shorthair Pointer, Yadi, on the vineyard.
The wines were really good across the board. I loved the new 2020 Fulldraw ‘Drift’ White Wine (OB, 91) which shows the sultry side of Clairette Blanc and is beautifully textured. The best wine I tasted was the fantastic 2018 Fulldraw ‘Honey Bunny’ Red Wine (OB, 93) which is mostly hedonistic and dense Syrah with a touch of smoky tones from the Mourvèdre. It is seriously good to consume right now. Learn more about this great family Paso Robles winery at fulldrawvineyard.com and here are my reviews of the new Full Draw wines.
