I love drinking Oregon Pinot at its peak. Such is the case with the 2005 'Mark Bradford' by Domaine Serene, which is really peaking right now. I love wines from this location which is set in the Dundee Hills. It is a high-elevation site located on the west-facing slope of the Evenstad Estate and was the first vineyard planted at Domaine Serene.
The wine is rich and ripe from this warmer vintage in Oregon. It is fleshy but not overripe and has beautiful texture and tension. Oregon from 2005 is one to really enjoy now, as I have found the case to be true with top Oregon wines from other houses. No reason to cellar this beauty. Here are my notes from the enticing 2005 'Mark Bradford' by Domaine Serene and learn more at https://www.domaineserene.com
2005 Domaine Serene 'Mark Bradford' Pinot Noir- Voluptuous, rich and ubabashedly big from this warm vintage, the 005 Domaine Serene 'Mark Bradford' Pinot Noir is a total head-turner and won't be improving either. On the nose the rich red florals entice alongside pomegranate seed, wild strawberry, garrigue and hints of black truffle shavings. Round and voluptuous on the mouth, this is a total stunner that still has another ten years in front of it. But why wait? Drink 2024-2034- 97
