Josh Phelps has deep roots in the California wine community. Raised in a winemaking family, he was exposed to the industry from a young age. He continued to build his knowledge of the business through college, selling wine, working harvests, and creating wine for friends with his father, Chris Phelps.
He helped form Grounded Wine Company, a value wine brand that has been making some really nice wines. The new releases I tasted were from Napa and Paso Robles. I really enjoyed the Rhone style blend the 2022 Public Radio Red Wine (OB, 90) which is rich and filled with bright red fruits.
