Today we share one of the really good outposts of the Yakima Valley. Fortuity sources from some outstanding vineyards including Red Willow, DuBrul and Heart of the Hill Vineyards. The wines were consistently good across the board, which is something that I have seen from this house over the past several years. In the past there might have been a wine or two that I didn’t particularly admire. This is not the case now as the consistency has improved at Fortuity. The style has become a focus on medium-bodied wines that offer good freshness and really good nuance.
Check out the really good 2024 Fortuity Viognier (OB, 91) which is very mineral-laden and the neatly textured 2024 Fortuity Cellars Rose (OB, 91) which is made from Cinsault grapes and shows lovely range. Learn more about this newer winery at fortuitycellars.com and here are my reviews of the new Fortuity Cellars releases.
