Today we share the wines by one of Washington State’s most acclaimed actors, Kyle MacLachlan. Growing up in Yakima, MacLachlan probably best known for his major role in the hit ‘90s drama, Twin Peaks which also returned to television several years back. MacLauchlan this year was in one of the hottest TV series of the last year, Fallout. This is a must-watch program that has some tremendous acting. The new season was absolutely incredible.
At the helm is one of Washington’s great winemakers, Dan Wampfler, of Abeja fame, to craft his wines.

2025 Pursued By Bear ‘Twin Bear’ Chardonnay- Coming from the Yakima Valley, the 2025 ’Twin Bear’ was primarily stored in neutral oak before bottling. Papaya and mango notes combine with honeydew melon and white flowers on the nose. The palate is dense and delicious with a tremendous mouthfeel, tension and flavor density. This is stunning stuff that has an amazing combination of warmth from the vintage and overall poise. Drink 2026-2034- 94
2022 Pursued By Bear ‘Baby Bear’ Syrah- The 2022 ‘Baby Bear’ was stored in a small amount of new French oak barrels and comes from the Les Collines, Phinny Hill, and Lewis Vineyards. Once on the nose this takes on heady aromatics of violets, tar, tobacco leaf and black currants. The palate is fresh and viscous with terrific texture and salty minerality. This is rich, complex, Syrah that is drinking magically right now. Drink 2026-2036- 94
2023 Pursued By Bear ‘Twin Bear’ Merlot- A gorgeous Merlot from the Columbia Valley, the 2023 ‘Twin Bear’ offers milk chocolate dusted blackberry and black currants on the nose alongside sandalwood tones. 2023 Pursued By Bear ‘Twin Bear’ Cabernet Sauvignon- Entirely sourced from the Walla Walla AVA, the 2023 ‘Twin Bear’ Cabernet Sauvignon shows off fresh sage and thyme aromatics that combine with red currants and chocolate fudge tones. The palate is lush and generous with a sooth mouthfeel and glorious core of Arabica bean, black fruits and herbal undertones, with a graphite edge. Drink 2026-2040- 94
