Great new wines by Dineen.

Dineen

August 18, 2025

One of the great sites in the Yakima Valley Pat and Lanie Dineen founded Dineen Vineyrds which was originally a 12-acre apple orchard back in 2001. The trees were removed and the first Dineen vines were planted in what is now known as Catherine’s vineyard, named after Pat’s mother.

They made a much larger investment in 2002, acquiring a 80-acre parcel was purchased becoming the second vineyard in the portfolio and home to the Dineen Vineyards tasting room. All of the blocks at this site are named for members of our immediate family.

The new wines were very consistent. I really enjoy the 2022 Dineen Cabernet Sauvignon (OB, 91) which is fresh and well-structured from this cooler vintage. earn more about theses wines at dineenvineyards.com and here are my reviews of the new Dineen wines.

2024 Dineen Semillon- The 2024 Dineen Semillon is soft and mineral-laden on the tongue. Kiwi and juicy melon flavors combine with shades of starfruit on the palate. Enjoy now and over the next few years. Drink 2025-2030- 90.

2024 Dineen ‘Condriesque’ White Wine- The 2024 Dineen ‘Condriesque’ White Wine delivers passion fruit and peaches on the palate, with a smooth mouthfeel. This is smooth throughout the drinking experience and is best enjoyed over the next few years. Drink 2025-2030- 91

2022 Dineen ‘Heritage Blend’ Red Wine- The 2022 ‘Heritage Blend’ is a combination of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 28% Cabernet Franc, 21% Merlot, 14% Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot. This is well-poised with good mid-palate density. Rich dark fig and boysenberry flavors meld well with milk chocolate on the palate. Drink 2025-2032- 91

2022 Dineen Cabernet Sauvignon- The 2022 Dineen Cabernet Sauvignon is a fresher style of wine that shows the coolness of the vintage. Right away this shows off red bell pepper with dried herbs and shades of wild blackberry on the nose. The palate is soft and elegant with a smooth mouthfeel. Drink 2025-2032- 91
