It is my pleasure to share the wines of Chosen Family. This brand was founded by former NBA star Channing Frye. Frye has utilized the winemaking skills of top winemakers such as Jackson Holstein, Chase Renton and Thomas Savre. A few years back NBA all-star Kevin Love was added to the roster. Love is an Oregon basketball legend, who is still playing for the Utah Jazz. Frye is deeply passionate about wine and has a great knowledge of Oregon wine. I have really enjoyed talking basketball and wine with him.

2022 Chosen Family Wines ‘Reserve’ Sparkling Wine- The 2022 Chosen Family Wines ‘Reserve’ Sparkling Wine was given just a dash of dosage (.5G/L) and is all Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley. Flavors of green apple, papaya and starfruit all combine, alongside copious minerals. Delicious and showing excellent tension and weight, savor now and over the next eight years. Drink 2026-2034- 92
2024 Chosen Family Wines ‘Reserve’ Pinot Noir- The captivating 2024 Chosen Family Wines ‘Reserve’ Pinot Noir shows up dark in the glass, offering captivating aromatics of cloves, dark florals, wintergreen and allspice dusted red fruits. The palate is soft, lively and seamless throughout the drinking experience, loaded with crunchy and tart red fruits, with volcanic ash and salty nuances. Allspice dusted fig, roasted pineapple and shades of cashew nut all combine on the nose. The palate is dense and heady, yet has a weightless mouthfeel and glides throughout the drinking experience. 2023 Chosen Family + Salty Goats ‘Fort Ross-Seaview’ Pinot Noir- Made in conjunction with Salty Goats, this outstanding 2023 Pinot Noir shows salted wet rock, anise and red currants that combine with suggestions of blood orange zest on the palate. Really good now, watch this evolve over the next ten plus years to come. Drink 2026-2036- 93
