We have some massive news permeating out of the Willamette Valley today, as Lingua Franca, producer of some of Oregon's finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, has been sold to Constellation Brands. The winemaking team will remain the same, as the winery and land was included in the sale. Lingua Franca was originally founded by master sommelier Larry Stone who built the brand to an over 10K case production winery which is sold across the United States.
The sale was partly related to the smoke damage which was felt from the 2020 vintage where no Lingua Franca wine was made. Currently Lingua Franca produces roughly 12,000 cases each year. Huge congrats to Larry Stone on his sale.
